Overview

At Travelalerts, we prioritize fair and transparent refund practices. This page outlines when you're eligible for a refund, what deductions may apply, and how the process works.

By using our services, you agree to this refund policy as part of our Terms of Service.

Refund Eligibility

Eligible for Refund

  • Fully refundable fares canceled as per airline terms
  • Flights canceled by the airline
  • Duplicate or erroneous transactions
  • Refunds under 24-hour U.S. DOT policy (if applicable)

Not Eligible for Refund

  • Non-refundable promotional fares
  • No-shows or missed flights
  • Incorrect or incomplete travel documents
  • Partially used tickets unless covered by policy

Refund Processing Time

Once your refund is approved, processing times vary by payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 7–14 business days
  • Net Banking/UPI: 5–10 business days
  • Offline payments (cheque/cash): Manual processing may take longer

Fees & Deductions

Refundable amounts are based on airline rules and fare type. In addition, Travelalerts may charge a service fee (up to $50) for handling cancellations or refund requests. These will be disclosed to you prior to processing.

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact our support team via phone or email
  2. Provide your booking ID, passenger details, and reason
  3. We’ll confirm eligibility with the airline
  4. Once approved, the refund will be initiated to your original payment method
  5. You’ll receive an email confirmation upon successful processing

Airline-Specific Rules

Each airline sets its own fare and refund rules. Some low-cost carriers offer travel credits instead of refunds. Always check fare conditions before booking.
